Saradhi, the academy of art and culture was the dream project of Kala Sasikumar which  finally took shape and got launched in 2001. At Saradhi the vision is to preserve and propagate the rich cultural heritage of our country by training fertile young minds in the different classical art forms. Where students enchance their awareness about the multifaceted artistic history of the country and learn about its forms from senior and reputed artists. Starting out with a student strength of only 10, Saradhi, today has over 300 eager and enthusiastic students on its roll. Thus placing Saradhi among the most popular and prestigious artistic learning centres in Chennai.

PRERANA - Event With a Purpose

It was only proper that to Celebrate the grand success of Saradhi on its completion of 10 years of service in the propagation of Indian art and culture called for a mega event. The outcome is PRERANA a proposed 10 day long celebration involving performance by leading lights from Indian art and culture.

Saradhi's Social Commitment

The proceeds from the event will go to support the cause of ARUWE a visionary and innovative social service effort foe uplifting the urban poor which include destitute parents, deprived women and street children who need education, food and clothing apart from basic amenities of life on a day to day basis.

PRERANA is conceived as a celebration of 10 years of unstinted effort in holding on to the Guru Parampara tradition. It is also the culmination of a dream called Sradhi which has been the guiding force to the young in their efforts to learn the nuances of Indian art forms. Keeping this in mind the 10 day long event will array the greatest practitioners of the “ Guru Shishya Parampara” who are also inspiring performers in the realm of Indian classical dance and music.

PRERANA will also offer opportunity to parents and students to actively participate in the proceedings with the special Quiz Contest on Music & Dance and other similar contests.
